The hotel was big size, and the meals were fantastic, I liked the marvellous and stunning location just off old town-east walk to royal mile and tourist activities and theatre & exploring and the recently revamped National Museum of Scotland. The rooms were new-fashioned with a bathtub and bathrobes, as example and the breakfast was tasty.

explore edinburgh's vibrant parks and historical landmarks with ease
My partner and I enjoyed our wedding night here, and the location was perfect for walking to nearby parks and landmarks like Calton Hill and the Royal Mile. We loved the spacious and beautifully presented room that featured a comfy bed and a wonderful freestanding bath, a delight after a day of strolling through the city. As a couple, we found it easy to come and go from the hotel, close to plenty of great restaurants and bars.

The room was the highlight. Roll-top bath was in the room and it just looked (and felt) fantastic. The decor is beautiful and staff couldn't do more to help you. There's even an itemised list of your room in case you liked anything enough to want to buy it.
Parking was awkward and quite a distance away through a building site.

We truly enjoyed so many things about this hotel. Stephen & Darwin in the Bistro were so polite and helpful. Lauren in check in was also very helpful upon check in. We loved the Courtyard and the overall since of peace enjoyed our relaxing moments with wine and cheese in the private sitting areas.
Our room could have been larger, wish we could have enjoyed one of the larger suites.

Fantastic, friendly staff and delicious food - breakfast was superb. Location spot on and also not too noisy. I would stay here again.
My tv was not really up to scratch! Not enough channels and the remote control was difficult to use. There was no access to a tv menu either.Apart from that everything was great.

They made us feel very welcome, the room was great and they were very helpful and accommodating with our dogs, volunteering bowls and and extra dog bed; fantastic! later we struggled to find a place to eat that would take our dogs so we went back to the hotel and had a really nice dinner with our friends in the Whisky Bar. First class food and service, thank you!
